What is the Ascension Configuration Folder?

Your Ascension Configuration Folder holds the supporting files for your Ascension Plug-In.

Heading 1

These files include your preset database (which allows you to use custom tags in the Preset Browser), Data Library location, and settings such as UI theme, size, and sound quality etc etc.

Tip: If you have created custom preset tags or ratings, backup the file named "presetdb.db" before re-install or installing Ascension on a new PC or Mac.  Once Ascension is set up again, swap your old backup file for the newly created file of the same name to get your tags back.

Important Note: You should not place your Ascension Data Library inside this folder or any system location. We recommend Documents/ Audio Music Apps or an external SSD.

The folder will look similar to the images below:

You can find your Ascension configuration folder here:

PC:  'Documents > CubicAudio > Ascension'

Mac OS:  'Mac HD > Library > Application Support > CubicAudio > Ascension'

Also see: Sound Expansion Management.

We may ask you to send a zipped version of this folder for diagnostic purposes if you have any issues using Ascension. Send a report here.

There is no need to send your full Ascension Data Library Folder as this is very large (6 GB +).
